Great to meet Lachlan Cameron and Adrian

Gosh's Paddock 7/1/09

Hi Joffa

Thanks for your time yesterday. My boys and I spoke with you yesterday morning at Collingwoods training session. I have been living in NSW for 19 years, now working as a Manager (Chief Ranger) with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.....but was brought up in Melbourne thus we are down for a few days to visit family....Collingwoods training session is one of the weeks highlights for my boys.

We are all Collingwood supporters....my Dad lived and worked in Collingwood and Ivanhoe thus I have also followed the Black and White for as long as I can remember. My boys are simply following the tradition!!

We live in the Wollondilly Area 80kms south of Sydney in traditional Rugby League territory. Lachlan (10yo) and Cameron (8yo) have been playing AFL for 5 years. Lachlan is in Year 5 this coming year at school and Cameron will be in Year 3. Lachlan is looking forward to playing in the Paul Kelly Cup this year. This is Sydney's Primary School AFL competition for Year 5 and 6 students.

Lachlan and Cameron have come up through the Auskick program and this year play U10 and U12 Juniors with the Wollondilly Redbacks Junior AFL Club. Wollondilly is the LGA and Bargo is the boys home ground. They train every Tuesday night over winter and play every Saturday morning....yes even our juniors have a pre season, and we will be kicking off training approx late February with our first game straight after Easter.

I am in my fourth year of coaching the juniors and currently coach the U9s. I am also the Vice President of our Club....if Mick thinks he's got his hands full with coaching professional players, try keeping 15 8yos under control on a howling windy winter Tuesday night! Lachlan and Cameron get to 4 or 5  games a year including the pilgrimage to Homebush for Collingwood Sydney each July.

I am writing from my brothers email in Melbourne, but have included my own contact details below.

Best of Luck this year, and lets hope 2009 is good year for the Black and White.

In best of Collingwood tradition

Kind Regards

Adrian

Nice to meet Adrian and the boys Cameron and Lachlan. A spot in the cheersquad at any game awaits you, Just give us a yell two weeks prior. Go pies

Meet Jack in Sydney on his birthday 2008@Sydney

JoffaJack08[1]

Dear Joffa,

Thanks again for meeting us on Saturday night before the game.  The boys had a sensational night and Jack was wrapped with the win by the Pies.  I have attached the photos that I took before the game with you, the boys, Jack and me.

He was lucky enough to get into the rooms following the game and he got the opportunity to meet some of his heroes including Paul Licuria, Shane Wakelin, Josh Fraser, Reeyce Shaw and Dale Thomas.

His favourite player is Dale Thomas, but his real hero is Paul Licuria so to get to meet both was a real bonus.
Thanks again.

Here's the photo from last Saturday :-)

I had a really good time at the game, not quite as good as the semifinal of course, or watching Medders win the medal- but almost as good :)
None of my friends believe that i've talked to ya, but they're all Westcoast supporters so i don't care.. The Fremantle supporters aren't my friends so that's not a problem, I went to the Dockers v Kangaroos match for my birthday to watch them fail again and lose.. but they won, so i was depressed. I got to yell at Chris Tarrant though, so i felt better after that :P
  Seeya at the Grandfinal!

I am Themi and I am 11 years old.

My favourite Collingwood player is Alan Didak. He is great. I went to see the big Anzac day clash and it was awesome. I even managed to sneak into the members to see the Pies play the Saints last Friday and that's where I met JOFFA!

I hope the pies win the premiership this year.

Go the Pies!!
