This Sunday 21st of September provides us with an historic opportunity to join in 'Sharing Our Space,' with communities of people of diverse cultural, ethnic and faith backgrounds, sharing commitments to spiritual understanding and healing. Historically, Indigenous Elders will welcome representatives from these communities and participants to this beautiful land we call home.
Sharing Our Space is a free event celebrating International Peace Day and the opening of Multi Faith Week. Participants will join in prayer, healing ceremonies and two panel discussions with representatives from Australian Indigenous and Multi Faith communities talking about ways in which we can reconcile and heal with one another. As if this were not enough, there will be live International music and delicious food provided by the Sikh community.
The vision of Sharing Our Space is to enable us to come together in a shared understanding of togetherness and participation in life now. I believe it is rare that such opportunities come by us and I encourage you to attend and share in this experience of understanding and healing if you can.
