The AFL just got more boring!

Cricket the most boring game on the planet has introduced a Fun Bay. I sit and watch the beautiful game every week in the AFL off season, I observe Drums a loud hand held speaker for the chant leader to deliver his chants. I see the Melb Heart football club on match day urging its fans to sing and chant... this is an instruction it's number one priority on match day to get behind our players in voice and song. The terraces are alive with love and passion, Im sitting in the active supporters bay largely left alone by police and seven dollars an hour security guards, I witness passion beautiful passion. Back at the boring game ' The AFL ' sends down security guards every ten minutes to walk up and down the cheersquad aisles to intimidate and at times to inform the noise levels are too high. No drums No mini microphones If you look as though your about to unleash some fun you'll be warned.Nothing ever in the AFL record to promote chanting singing or god forbid a ' Fun Bay '. Without wanting to offend anyone i think it's time to reinvent our cheersquads on the basis they just dont work. A fun bay by name alone is probably a bit more attractive and would no doubt attract more people for all the right reasons. We could have a fun ministry who's job would be to govern the fun and introduce fun ideas.The AFL terraces are a changeing and i believe the time is right to cater such an idea. Cricket now has it's very own fun bay, The Soccer games here in melb are ten times more passionate, Lets take one step back to enable us to think outside the goal square. A fun bay would work. Let the people sing and have fun!

Its Us Against Them ?
I appreciate and understand that all membership departments at all football clubs are under great pressure these days to increase the membership and in doing so we're going to see some very clever people at work and equally some very dumb people at work. I reckon we could of done better.The old War Cry The us against them is old and somewhat unimaginative and these days quite boring, it does not inspire me, however i dont need some advertising guru to persuade me to be a member of the greatest club in the land. Go Pies!
We took the It's Us Against Them to facebook and whilst 95 % liked the new slogan we reckon we found the winning slogan

Best ever season in 2011 with all Australian honors and he walks out to go home?
And we didnt even get a chance to say good bye to leon that hurts as we loved this guy dearly.
All the best to Leon and his family we're gonna miss ya champ!


It was high time!
It was time for a change and what better person than the peoples person Nathan Buckley to coach the collingwood football club. Dont get me wrong MM will be judged kindly by all historians in the future with what he did during his time at Collingwood, But the whole Malthouse thing got kind of boring after 13 seasons. I can only wish Nathan all my heartfelt best wishes, Go get em Bucks you beauty!

If one more person says to me are you missing the football i'll grab the biggest baseball bat and shove it right up their clacker! Night games in Feb and if you make the finals your into October.And here we are some 5-6 weeks after the season has officially ended and we get bombarded on daily news telecasts, newspapers and radio, Draft, Sackings, Pre season, New coaches, Old coaches.. It just goes on and on and on and on....BORING!
For gods sake give us a break.
